| MOney exchange is done at the front desk in the lobby but not everyday. ONce you have been to a cuban banco you will understand the problem. My advice would be to exchange at the airport as much as you can and GET SMALL DENOMINATIONS if you intend to tip as this is a big problem on the resort and ones are in demand. We have suggested that the resort set a policy or ask that staff exchange ones and small bills for larger bills before they leave for home so they can recycle money. Also make sure you take all the cash you think you might need as all credit cards are not accepted. We ran into this problem there and luckily our tour company Nolitours has an emergency system in place that can cash advance from their Montreal office and they will deliver cash to you their next trip over from Guardalavacca for a $25.00 fee. |
