  Wonderful location
Maurizio Gasperi 12th June 2012
My wife and myself, we spent 3 days at this hotel with a great view over the city and to El Yunque and the bay. The room was large and there was no noise in the evening (May 2012, low season). The breakfast buffet had a little choice of dishes and espresso, hot chocolate and juices. There was no warm water all 3 days, but upon request they compensated us with a bottle of red wine.
The region is beautiful. We loved it. With one exception:
Warning: there is a guy who calls himself Ronaldis Matos Llacer, pretending to be an employee of Flora y Fauna. The tours he offered were:
a. water fall of Yumuri: 5 hours tour resulted in 8 hours walking under difficult conditions with many river crossings (we were not advised) partly about 1m deep. If you are not very, very athletic, this is not an advisable tour (I am a half marathon jogger!)
b. El Yunque tour was changed to visits to prehistoric caves with wall paintings: on short notice the trip was modified so we could not see the cave.
The guide Ronaldis took our rental car for a private trip of 300km without our permission and did not reimburse us for the consumed petrol. He promised refunding through his aunt and gave us a non-existing address, as we verified in La Habana.
