| Hi I will spent 5 days in Havana in mid September. We will be staying in old havana, is it easy to get to the water front , is it a harbour or a promonade? What are the best trips to do while in Havana? Thank you |

| Take a city tour in a horse drawn cairage, the guides are fantastic, informative, entertaining, good fun and they will not see you wrong.do this tour first, and then you will have a good idea of the geography of the city and what you want to see. another must is the Cabana Fortress. it is on the far side of the harbour, the only way to get there is by taxi. there is plenty to see over there, (there are actually 2 forts, the smaller one has the light house, the view from the top is the best in Cuba. then head to the bigger fort, there are museums and restaurants there. but DO NOT LEAVE before you see the canon being fired at 21.00 hours every night. it is easy to get a taxi back in to town afterwards. |
