Hi Angela G,
yes, Playa Costa Verde Hotel have a specific place near by the'' Campay'' cigar room.
When you enter the lobby , turn to your left hand you will see the ''Campay cigar room''
and the money exchange boot.
Open from aprox. 9:00 in the morning to 18:30 P.M. You can bring your own money if you want. And you must be in possession of your Passeport to change your money for CUC.

| Hello ! I was at that hotel last July, and they have a place to change money (Bank ???) on the site. I am travelling once or twice a year in Cuba and I personnaly prefer having cash with me, but I sure they would take traveller's check...By the way I will be at that hotel again in February (we liked it very much), so may be I will see you... |

| We go for our 6th trip in April this year. You can only use Sterling travellers cheques. We used to get ours from Barclays , but they have stopped doing them. Anyhting USDollars or anything affiliated to an american bank won't be accepted. You can take your debit card use it to pay for excursions (as long as it's not affiliated to an american bank..MBNA, American express, etc). It is best to take cash and change it in to CUP (cuban pesos) at the hotel. There is a place next to the cigar bar. You can also change money at the airport on arrivel. As Cuba has a closed currency, you have to cahnge your money back before you leave. Hope this helps. Have a great time. I'm sure you will, we can't wait til our holiday!! XX |
