Hi Ash. To use any cell phone here in Cuba, Cubacel (the mobile phones company) required the quad 900 and also the mobile you have to purchased in a store, couldnt be from any company.

Hi there!!! You can get your cell phone operational here in Cuba, if you bring your own phone, itâA¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬A¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢s only CUC 3/day to rent a line, but youâA¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬A¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢ll have to take out a minimum of CUC 10 credit to use the phone. But to be activated for use in Cuba, your cell phone must be GSM working in the 900 MHz band width or else it wonâA¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬A¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢t work.
