| Why is it that we cannot find accomodation for our family size. We are forced to book 2 roomsd few hotels seem to have connecting doors. We intend to stay in Havana and Varadero for a total of 21 nights in July2 010 but it may cost us a small fortune. Any ideas? |

| Hotel Nacional has perfect suites with 2 bedrooms and a huge lounge and a hall, all very specious and comfy, but yes, it costs a fortune. Why don't you book two casas particulares or even better, some casas particulares have a licence to rent out 2 bedrooms so you will have the whole family in one house? Rooms in Havana start from 20 CUC so budget around 40 a night for two. A fraction of what you pay in the hotel! And better environment to get to know how Cubans live. Ask Cubaism to find you a good place - there are so many! Varadero - not my cup of tea but if only for kids, there are cheap three start hotels available for 50 CUC per room, not sure about connecting ones though! But again ask Cubaism for recommendations/booking. |
