I'm a fit 60 & want to learn Salsa.
Anyone been on an organised trip with lessons by day & clubs by night? If so, what age group do participants tend to be & can you recommend an operator-there are lots out there!
Thanks, Peter |

We have stayed at SuperClub Breezes Varadero and really enjoy the salsa lessons by the pool in the late afternoon. The girls will spend lots of time with you. This is an adult only resort (14+) and we have always found everyone to be very friendly. There is a disco at night for you to dance, and a Piano bar.
Last year we hung with an 80 year old who played golf with us!
If you golf, then this is the hotel to stay at - Coming from Western Canada we are able to pick up packages all inclusive with golf for under $1500 taxes in.
Varadero Golf Course is great. You have to take taxi $5 CUC each way, and you have to have cart $50 CUC.
Maybe we will see you there, December 7th to December 15th,2009

Salsa has no age limit, go for it.
You can book travel, accomodation and lessons with organisers around the world. My personal recommendation would be to contact Caledonia Language Travel in Edinburgh. They organise trips to Cuba, Santiago de Cuba, with accomodation in private houses - so you get close to the Cuban lifestyle. They organise group dance lessons for you with local professional dancers to partner and show you. Going out at night as a group, excursions and Spanish language lessons are on offer, too. And Calendonia is getting the best reviews from those who have travelled with them.
Check them out. |
