| Hi Elena. Uhm thats sounds nice.Of course Pierna de puerco (pork leg for roast) is very popular in Cuba for christmas and for the End of the year party. This you can find in any private market in Cuba (you wil pay in pesos or CUC equivalent) and as the pork legs are very demanded specially in those dates, sometimes you have to buy it in advance. |

Hello there, what a nice thought. Christmas in Cuba is very much around having a (special) meal with the family. There are markets in Havana where you can buy fresh meat, fruit and veg. You pay in local peso. The one I know is in calle San Rafael - however that may not be the nearest one for you or indeed the best one. Why don't you ask the family to take you to the market ... they can help you carry the bags home, too.
I am sure you will have a lovely time. |
