I'm going to playa pesquero on the 15/9/2008. Could anyone tell me if the hotel was damaged by Ike.... I will still be able to come won't I ?

| just got back all hotels were very badley damaged no elec or water also and are hotel was next to pescaro |

| Hi Ian, i am going to (well hopefully) stay at the Playa Pesquaro on the 5th Of Oct, when i went to the travel agents that i booked with yesterday, they said that anyone travelling within the next 2 weeks are entitled to change their holiday as apparantly you cant travel to holguin at the moment because of the damage from hurricane Ike. I have been checking this daily according to the foreign commisioners office website so you should probaly do the same. the website is http://ukincuba.fco.gov.uk/en/help-for-british-nationals/travel-advice/ but i would get in touch with whoever you booked your holiday with. good luck, i hope all goes well. |

| I am due to go on the 22nd of Sept - I have just called First Choice and they have said that they don't know as yet if they will be sending people. I asked the opinion of the Manager and she said she thinks the holiday will be cancelled. It doesn't look good. |

| i was due to fly to guardalavaca on 14th october but thomas cook have cancelled all flights untill end oct. look on www.tripadvisor.co.uk there is loads of posts from people who have been or are due to go. we have been offered a refund or different hol. |

| Still, First Choice haven't got their fingers out and made a decision. The question is..... shall I or shall I not pack my suitcase? I am not impressed as due to depart for my holiday in three days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
