19th Century Hotel - Havana Inn
Kim 12th August 2016
I am researching family from Cuba. My Great-Great Grandmother, Charlotte Bolio, was born in Havana in 1864. Her family ran a hotel called the "Havana Inn". In our family heirlooms is silver pieces from the hotel stamped with that name. However, the only records I can find of her is after she came to New Orleans in 1880.

I have been unsuccessful in finding any information about the Havana Inn aside from family lore. However, I can link a Bolio family to the San Carlos Hotel and the Fifith Avenue hotel in Havana during the correct time frame. I can also trace them to Key West Florida and the Duval House. It is unlikely my Charlotte is their daughter since Francisco and Anne Bolio had a daughter named Alice the same year Charlotte was born. I'm thinking she may be a cousin...

Any information or tips about how to conduct my research would be greatly appreciated!
